Waiting for the moment

I have spent the whole weekend thinking and planning. A lot of praying and reflecting.

Cliff, you haven't done this before. You are taking a big step. You are venturing into uncharted water. What if your ship sink?

Hey I felt this feeling before......I know how to deal with this.

Don't worry. It is normal. Anxious is a good thing. I have been into this water before. It might have been rough in the past. Don't let the past control your future. It just looks rough. The only way to find out is to head into the waves. If my ship sink, great. At least it is out in the water. Not sitting on the dock.

If I never venture, it will forever remain uncharted. Life is about discovering the unknown. Taking the risk. Not about sitting around and staring at corners.

You are going way over board with this, Cliff. Who else does this? No one. You are not normal. This is NUTS.

Dang right it is nuts. If it ain't nuts, it ain't fun.

My friend, Elaine, has a great perspective on taking photos. She will make us do silly poses so that the pics will become memorable. That's how life should be live as well.

Mix emotions run through my body.
Am I being tear apart by them? Nope.
I am calm.

Regardless of the outcome, I known this will be a memorable moment. Not about right or wrong. Not about improving myself. Not about any superficial or selfish reason.

I just want to be.

The sails are set.
The anchor is raised.
Bon voyage....

You've got it in the right perspective, Cliff. Someone once told me that if you are praying and seeking God in the decisions you make, you can't make a wrong one. Happy Sailing!!!

Great post, Cliff. I needed a good dose of inspiration. But just to clarify, we all do that overthinking, I-must-be-nuts thing. It's just most people are too scared to admit it.

Definitely better to be out trying to sail rather than let the boat sit at the dock.

It's hard to discover ourselves if we don't venture forth and start looking. I am glad you have decided to take the plunge after prayerful consideration. Let Him be your guide and partner - remember that when Peter kept his eyes on Him, he walked on water.

Taking risk is the way to go; if you don't, you will always wonder.."what if." You go Cliff!
