Quickie before I go to bed.
It is past my bed time. Before I go, just saw this again. Armstrong, 2001, Alpe D'Huez. He just work it...sweet stuff.
Sun at church, I was so happy to hear about one of the sisters is going to try a triathlon next year. She started asking me about training and nutrition. I am so happy ;).
Today while cycling, I saw a guy running with a backpack. It turned out he is doing the Sahara Race. This is a 6 days race over 230 km of desert. If that ain't tough enough you have to carry your own food and drinks (that's what he was doing). I did a quick chat and I headed off....
I was thinking how crazy it is to do that. Maybe someday I will give that a try. That's what I love about endurance sports. We just go and do it. Even if it is just a bit crazy....

You could start with the Canadian Death Race and work up from there!
Great thoughts - you are right - we just go and do it!
I kept my camelback on for the run part of a tri one time...there's no way I can imagine running with a backpack of food!
Hey Cliff!! I'm coming up to Kitchener/Waterloo on the 30th...any chance you could meet for a long hilly ride, or know of any safe long ride routes up there???
I heart me some adventure racing. Had a team in college and Charlottesville
That's fabulous about your sister Cliff! Go and do it!
I ahve a friend who did that a few years back. Its like 156 miles over 7 days. They only give you a set amount of water for the course each day.

He crossed the Sahara in 111 days and ran more than 7k!
Congrats on the century!
Can you believe there are 2 Singaporeans who will be running 217km in the Death Valley next month? They must be running many laps around Singapore to prepare for this...
great video Cliff...love'em or hate'em, no arguing with the fact that LA could really put the hurt on during those climbs!
love that vid!
Cliff - you can embed that video in all your posts. Everyday. I never get sick of it.
We have seven triathletes at our church! Every now and then our Pastor Dan mentions us, but he calls us the "triathlons", instead of "triathletes". It's so cute.
SAhara Race indeed is crazy. ouch.
I love that video clip. Lance could throw the hammer DOWN like no other.
