Good running...

This morning I had a great run. It wasn't as cold as I thought. I had a sleeveless fleece vest between my technical long sleeve and my jacket. By 15 min of the run, it was too stuffy. I took it off and threw it behind an electric box.

For the past two weeks, I hadn't woke up as early as today. I knew I could do it in January. But the habit of going to bed early and waking up early never set in. This Mon, I woke up early to long swim. Today, I woke up early to long run. Sat, I will wake up early to long bike.

I really enjoyed stepping out and seeing the stars in the sky. The sky was cleared and the sun was waking up as I ran along. I ran in a relax pace. HR avg 153. Even though I put the gel flask underneath my jacket, I couldn't get them out of the flask. So I had to unscrew the cap (the sucky thing) and chuck the gel down my mouth. It was good. I am using the Clif's Big Shot Mocha flavor. So after taking my gel, I looked like the girl in the pic :). Good thing I have a mouth nose protector on. Haha..I can imagine in the summertime when I have chocolate all over my face....:D

It wasn't as cold as -4*F. When the sun was up, I was getting very hot.

Overall I ran about 11 miles in 1 hr 55 min. I am suppose to run 2 hr and 20 min. What can I do..next time wake up earlier and head out earlier. Lesson learnt.

Added: I decided to cut my run short b/c I have to rush back home and get ready to work.

I know all about having to finish a run in order to get to work on time. Some things just cannot be avoided.

You still did well, getting in nearly 2 hours.

That 1 hour 55 mins is alot closer to your goal, not the other way around.

Let's see how the spring finds you if you are so use to run at that temperature, you will be melted!!

I'll start to see diferent these canadian runners on vacations here, what a difference!

You're a brave soul to venture out in early morning for a run. I'm glad I don't have to do that. At least not yet.

I love the feeling of walking into work knowing that I've run that far in the morning -- you should be pleased with getting your run in.

Cute kid.

Like everyone said 1 hour 55 is better than nothing. Sometimes you have to make those compromises.

Great job on the long run!!

I'm a little disappointed you used that picture of the kid instead of smearing some Gu all over Homer!
