Chilling for Chilli.....

Hey all, there ain't a lot going on here. Last night I did a bike drill. One leg pedal for 130 reps in the smallest easiest (Sorry guys, that's what i meant) gear. It felt great. I did this 10 sets for each leg. I was amazed how time passes by when I watched Band of Brothers. I maintained the cadence at 90 rpm. Next week, I should be able to pedal for 150 or 180. If I did 180 reps per leg, that would mean pedaling one leg for two minutes.

Jamie emailed me last night about my coming 1/2 marathon this Sun. It is the Chilly Half Marathon. I am not suppose to go b/c it was sold out. Last night, the organizer informed me there were spots available. So I signed in.

I ain't going for a PR. This is a social run with Anners. I told her specfically not to go all out. B/c there ain't no way I am going to go run hard and kill my legs. I am doing a long bike on Sat and will be doing a long swim on Mon.

She is training for marathon this May. Me and Anners go way back..well not really. I somehow got her into running. Two years ago we did 10 k. I still remember last year when she was telling there is no way she is going to do a marathon. It is too far and too long on the road. :) ....Now she got her b/f into running too. Oh...the virus spreads ;)

That's about it. I slept in for the past two days. Body needed rest. This means that all my trainings are pushed into night time. Tonight run drill, workout and swim drill. Tomorrow long bike (3 hr 45 min woohooo) and swim drill. Sun, swim drill then chilling for chilli :)

yummy, that chilli looks good.

I'll probably try for a marathon next year but no where near to doing one right now.

That's a lot of OL drills. Make sure you're going for quality over quantity. When the peddle stroke gets sloppy due to fatigue, it's time to stop.

Holy cadence. You can keep up 90 with one leg? I gotta do more of these! I hate them!

Ever think of doing the isolated leg drills with the little ring and little cog? You cut your rpms why down to like 40 or 50, but it forces you to use a smooth pedal stroke with good technique. It is also a strength workout too.

The chilli looks great. My wife made a batch last night at the request of my daughter. Thanks for reminding me that I have something to look forward to when I get home today.

Yes! Spread the virus. If each one of us infects one other person, and they subsequently do the same .... oh yes, we are about to take over the world! Hahaha!
