Rant post..

This was supposed to be a rant post. But after writing paragraphs and paragraphs about my personal struggles, I've decided to erase them. Things happen and things happen. All I can say is that i am looking for my long run tonight. It will be a great stress reliever.

I was reading from Sheila's post about training 14 hour ain't hard. It reminded me back last summer when I started to train. Back then 7-8 hours seemed like a lot. This week I am hitting 14 hours. I can't say I am super everyday. But so far, my body is feeling strong and ready to go for the next exercise.

Reading Shelley's post, yeah this ain't the time for stressing out. I am in seven weeks for my training. There is at least 4 months (16 weeks) to go. Even more depending on where do I consider as training and non training. I found it funny how 16 weeks seem a lot but for us trainers here, there ain't ENOUGH time.

I didn't mention it but on Monday I swam 1 km, TWICE. Last week, I swam 1 km in 40 min. This week I swam each km in 30 min. I am moving my arms faster. Last night, I used the pull buoy for 10 min to practice my strokes. When I was hammering, I was going really fast (faster than before). I swam so fast I bumped my hand into the leg of the person in front. Sweet :D. (not sweet for the person in front).

I am not the person that watch TV. But last night I saw the part where they were nominating the best collaboration. It turned out Jay-Z and Linkin Park that won the award. I love LP. I can't believe they won. They were against a lot of big artists like destiny child or Gwen Stefani. Amazing. And later they performed. Even though their music are on either end, they am able to blended it into a very good mix.

I understand how you feel. I was right there with you a few weeks ago. I have started the taper for my half marathon on the 18th, and I am starting to feel much better. Never underestimate the mental fatigue that comes along with those heavy training weeks- sometimes I think it outways the physical part. I have a training partner that turns into Oscar the Grouch at the end of her build period, everytime! I am sure you will recover nicely in time for your race.

The Jay-Z and LP duo is pretty sweet.

Hope you feel better after your long run!

Are you a P.O.D. fan? For some reason I imagine you are and was thinking of putting up one of their vids for you tomorrow.

14 hours are a lot. You are really working hard these days. Very well done.

Hey 14 hours a week is a lot. You should feel like your schedule is pushed at that level. If you don't, your a pro and someone makes you bed, meals, laundy et al for you.

Shelley is right though, and it makes me step back and think about it.
