I just can't help myself...

Well today is the last post for 2005. I am feeling much better now. Thanks for everyone's concern.

Today I was suppose to go for a 2 hr on the trainer. Then tomorrow I will do a long run. I figure I will give my leg one more day of rest before pounding the pavement. But looking at the snow outside, I just can't help it.

The run was suppose to do some drills. I threw that out and ran on a trail along the Credit River. The trail is my regular route. No deer sighting today. It felt great to be in the woods. In the snow, it is very calming.

It felt great to get back on the road. I head over to the pool earlier today. Drills drills drills. I did a few laps freestyle. I still feel my hips dragging in the water. I try not to kick as much. The pull buoy helped that. What i mean is that i am so use to not kicking too much when using the buoy that once I start to swim without it, I kick much less. If I got this hip not sinking matter deal with, I am sure I will swim much faster and further. Maybe I should go and get a spare tire :).

Hmm...there is so much to post...life wise, everything is changing. I bought shelves and cabinets to organize my room. I got a new bike computer (Cateye Astrale 8). I am going to look for a new job. Life, I can say, is good.

Tonight, I am going to spend the last day of 2005 with my fellowship. I think we are going to play monopoly. I love that game. It is all about deals, deals, deals :). I am vicious in the game. You know by the end of the game, there will be one guy that dominates the game. What I would do will forge alliance with all the smaller players and bring this guy down :).

I am really glad to meet everyone through blog land. I wish everyone to continue to strive for the impossible and train hard next year...impossibility is only an illusion :)..

Sounds like your idea of monopoly employs some Survivor strategy! LOL. Personally, that game reminds me too much of my previous career... I prefer... hmmm.... I know, Twister! LOL

Happy New Year Cliff!

Sounds like the swim is coming along just grand, good to hear it. Running in winter sounds fun - I have never done any runs below 20 degress Celsius. :)

You are so gonna kick A__ in 2006!
