Been a while since I post on here. Busy with work and squeezing in workouts.
I hit the pool today and did some 5 x 100s. Wow. I am out of shape. I started with 1:50, xxx (forgot to press the watch), 2:05, 2:10, 2:10(!). This is with 10 sec break. Not good. Lately, feels like my training has been medicore.
I also did some miles repeat on Thurs. It was 30*C here and I felt like I am going to died. I did 3 sets with 400 m EZ in between. The times were 7:19, 7:41, 7:37. I don't know how my first mile was so fast. My avg HR was higher in the last mile than the first. My legs were quite heavy throughout the week. I did a 10 mile run on Tues and it was killing me. Well, I am going to keep doing these repeats and see where it will go. I figure this will teach my body to run hard.
As for the swim, going to do more repeats.
Last Sun, I met up with Wendy. She was around my city for the Canada Masters Swim Competition. It was nice to meet up with a fellow-blogger and yap about training and what not.
I was taking a look at my race pics from Mississauga Half. I notice I am quite an angry runner. Maybe I should be learning to run more relax at the end??
My friend's comment: "you look like you killed someone!" This is 200 m or so before the end.
