Perspective....

I also thought about what the Baron said to a reporter on Friday, “well, I’m in the race, so anything can happen”.

This is taken from xtri.com. Another article by Gordo. The article talks about one of his races. I read this article twice. A couple of days ago and this morning. When I read the quote again this morning, I had a different perspective.

My first perspective is a negative one. Yes anything can happen. Tires can go flat. Mechanical error. Stomach shut down.

My second perspective is more positive. Yes anything can happen. He can finish first or second. He can set a PR. No one knows.

Same wording, two different views.

There ain't too much to post. In my head, I am compiling a bunch of songs for this weekend. I still have to pack my stuff and logistics. Mentality and emotion pretty good. Will get a few more minutes to get myself into race mode.

I just realize it has been a long time since I feel my legs are fully recover. Put it in other words, it has been a long time since I haven't feel any sore from them. As of now, they are about 90%. My left knee is a bit wonky. Just a bit. I could feel discomfort this morning.

Tonight after work, open water swim with coach. Then head over to the Church and see a few of my brothers talking to the university kids about looking for a job and resume and all that fun stuff. (I told them to scare the kids that their life is basically over once they get a full time job. :D)

It's all in your perspective.

"Life is 10% what happens to you, 90% how you respond to it."

That's true about interpreting the words above, too. You chose to respond in the positive and I believe it will be reflected in your performance and your attitude on Sunday. God speed - no really, I am praying that God gives you speed ;)
