Chickened out

No long ride for me today. It is freezing outside. I have all my gears ready. Got my booties, my wool socks, my leg warmers. Stepped out. Nuts. I can feel the wind cutting through the clothing. I stood for a while. Thinking about it. It's too cold. I needed some long johns (which I don't have). My boys gonna be chilling for a while if i get on the road.

It is -4*C (24.8*F) outside. Feels like -10*C (14*F).

Tomorrow, I scheduled a ride with a couple after Church. I will ride with them and then ride by myself and get my 4 hr 45 min on the bike.

Since I am up already....no reason to sit around and do nothing...heading to the pool now. Later.

It sounds like running is easier than running if it is cold.

Have a Nice weekend!

Yeah, that sounds a little too cold for biking for me, too! I draw the line somewhere between 30*F and 25*F.

was definitely cold on the east coast as well. Only went for an hour ride because it was just too damn cold after this nice 70F weather we just had. When I went it was like 32F out and a CRAZY headwind!! I swear mother nature is laughins at us right now.

I am glad it is getting warmer here. I hope it starts warming up for you as well. The boys cannot handle the cold, I am in agreement with that.

It's still that cold where you are? I'd say you're brave just to live there, forget whether or not you ride a bike in it!

But I'm a cold weather wimp, so what do I know?

totally don't blame you for skippnig the bike. biking in the cold just sucks. way to go for getting your swim in. i usually bike on the trainer if i don't make it outside.

Glad I am here in Australia. I nearly didn't go out for a ride on Sunday because the temperature got down to 9C.

Next time it's too cold for a bike ride, go for a run instead. It's never too cold for a run.

If I backed out of a race in 20 degrees F this past Feb. then I won't give you a hard time of backing out of a bike ride in under freezing weather. but don't let it happen too much... Anyway have fun and a good training week.

Dude... at least you thought about it. I'm such a wimp, the thought doesn't even cross my mind unless it's *at least* 55 degrees out. Anything under that is just unbearable to me. :(
