Cliff, you are an half ironman..

I just got home, showered and clean out my gears...

The race went GREAT. It was exactly as I predicted. Hydration was good. Nutrition was good.

Total Time: 5:52:20 (I predicted to be 6 hrs)

43:22 swim
2:27 T1
3:02:59 Bike
3:14 T2
2:00:19 Run

Swim - The most relax swim ever. I spent majority of time following someone's feet. Jump from one set of feet to another.

Bike - Kept HR low. No meshing the gears. I pass a lot of ppl on the bike. Someone from Running room forum recognize me and we rode for a bit. I was smiling the whole time. In fact, I was feeling so good, I sing out loud a few times.

Run - This is what it is all about. First 8 km, nice and easy. Trying to keep the HR down. Then chat with someone. Ran with him for about 5 km. His pace was slow, which is great for me to drop my HR. In the last 8 km, we parted ways and I pushed. Mentally, it was a tough push. HR wasn't going over anaerobic. The last km was so long. Why don't they put the last km to the front. Oh well....

My friend was there to take pics. I can't wait to see the my bike and run pics. I was smiling the whole time. In fact, I was feeling so good, my tongue was hanging out the most of the time.

Training and tapering paid off. On the bike, I see ppl working hard up the hills (out of the seat etc) and I just sit and spin my way up. On the run, the last few kms just pushing the pace.

A full detail report is in order...(probably tomorrow)....

Awesome job, Cliff!

I sing when I'm having good runs, too. And I don't care who hears me!!!

Just watch out you don't bite your tongue when it's hanging out of your mouth, OK? ;)

Excellent job, Cliff!

It must have been your consistent training that carried you through?

Naw, it was probably the singing!
