I broke my butt.

Red = sore
Blue = strain

It was from Tuesday's workout. I probably did too much weight on leg press (sore) and seated row (strain).

Last night I was doing my hill runs with my new shoes and my left knee was in pain. I bailed out. There is no need to aggrevate the knee no more. I went to the pool and spent 20 min in the hot tub doing stretches and tending my wounds.

I got the Gel 1110. It was suppose to be an upgrade over the Gel 1100. It didn't feel like a new pair of shoes at all. It felt alot like I am slabbing on the concrete. Almost no cushioning. I will give the shoes another try before I change my mind.

Since I am semi-injured, I can't run or do weights. I am going to focus to swimming instead. This is why we do tri; we can still train when we are kinda injure :)

Am I upset about what happen? Nothing else I can do anythings. Learnt a lot of NOT to do.

So Wed, I bailed on a hill run. Thursday I went for the pool for an hour. Today will do the same thing.

Try running bare foot. Who needs shoes.

Thats also why I am interested in triathlon. I like the diversity and cross training.

The Asics 2100s are the upgrades over the 1100s. Like anners, I have them and like them.

Hope you get better.

Oh no! Not you too! Uggh injuries suck!! But I thought when I read about all that weight on the leg press that maybe, just maybe, that was a wee bit too much. ;) Hey, now you have more time to drink beer, right?

Like william said you might want to try training barefoot. I'm learning and maybe one day be less dependant of those high priced shoes that don't really help but hurt us. Don't mine my blabbing. Hope your pain heals soon.

Cliff- break not the butt! Hoping things turn around for you...great that you listened to your body and backed off!
Re: the shoes, I would give them a couple more go's...strange how some shoes feel great right outta the box but sometimes a pair will need a couple runs to get them "just right"

I saw the title and was a little frightened when a picture started to load!!

My hubby wears the Asics 2110 and has had good luck with them.

Hope your injury hits the road soon!
